James, I agree with you, but if you were the driver and had gone over this guys feet you would have been in serious trouble now.

Probably a drunk or a drug addict, menace to the society either way.

I condemn the driver for his actions but I do feel his anger also.

Costas, If and it's a big if, suppose he threatened the car driver with violence, and the car driver put him down, if that was the case, the car driver was right to make sure he did not get back up.

You are safe from retaliation if you make sure he stays on the ground, unless of course he has a gun.

To those who are saying get involved or beat the guy, here is a photo (there's a video online too) of another guy in a BMW also a few days ago. Luckily the driver apologized profusely and as the guy walked away you can see a gun in the back of his pants. Heroes don't last long in Thailand.

Well, that's the thing in Thailand. If you do, he could well be connected to the biggest and most dangerous mafia in the nation, and you could find yourself gagged and bound in a police dungeon cell with a couple of hard pipe hitting brothers about get to work on your good and proper.

well Costas I agree but disagree. Just because the guy is drunk / disabled / whatever on the road the first thing a normal person might do is help get him off the road , not kick him in the head...

I don't understand Your point here, in the video he drives past this Man in the road, then stops gets out and comes back and kicks Him in the head, I am sorry I see NO reason for this level of violence by anyone regardless of what country You hail from..Its nothing other than little man big car have money syndrome Oh and then there's the maybe he has a gun and the fear in the girls in the car SAD !!! and unacceptable ..I don't see how this can be justified in any way

The bad guy's name and address was posted on Facebook, along with the video. He has since been so shamed that he posted his own apology, not that it means much.

"Had gone over this guy's feet?" You're really on this prick's side that he's doing the right thing to kick an older guy, who'd never have a chance to fight with such an .

Did you not see that the driver was even more drunk, and/or on drugs than the poor older guy? Okay, let's say the older guy on the street was you, or your friend/ family member, etc..

Would you still think the driver's anger was appropriate? It's similar to when a man beats a woman, just not fair and very stupid.

If you do feel this freak's anger, then I'm afraid that you're not far away from this guy.

Even the guys who made that movie were threatened, but the driver said a few times that it would be enough now and time to stop.

the drivers son and daughter told their dad to not get involve and let them handle it on their own, dad couldn't stand watching the guy get kicked in the head so he called out to the bmw driver saying "that is enough". The son and daughter kept on telling the dad to stop and let them handle it, bmw driver might have a gun. Again the dad kept on yelling at the guy to stop, the bmw driver got annoyed and said are you threatening me, he went up to the car to confront the dad. They call the cops and told the cops whats happening as well as reported the license plate number.

In Thailand many male drivers do have a gun, especially the ones who are the confrontational type as they feel like they superior and macho, can do whatever they want simply because they have a gun to threaten or even shoot you.

I was driving with my brother once when a pick up truck cut us off when trying to squeeze into the small space in front of our car when he merged into our lane causing us to swerve to the lane beside, we beeped at him. He got pissed off that we didn't let him merge cleanly and that we beeped so he tried to brake check us. We got pissed off and threw a coin at the truck, I'm sure it hit the truck and started following him. The guy noticed we were following and waved a gun (or it could be just his hands, we couldn't see clearly in the distance). Anyways, we actually pretended that we had guns too and held our hands in the shape of the gun too. The guy got scared and try to shake us off, we followed him for a couple kilometers. He couldn't shake us off so he parked at the side of the road, when he stopped we also parked our car 40-50 meters behind.

He signal for us to go first but we refused and sat there for 2-3 minutes, he then made a quick dash forward. We didn't follow him after that as we knew the guy was scared as well. Now thinking back, the guy could have walked to our car with a gun in his hand.

The vehicle is an early model BMW, with a driver clearly in need of anger management.

Unfortunately, this is the problem with the world today. Unrestrained anger that is often violently enacted upon another. I agree with some of your posts but not this one. One minute you condemn the offender, then you tell us how you feel his anger. Why do you feel the anger of a coward, who for whatever reason has decided to react violently toward a downed and defenceless person? A real man don't you think, kicking someone when they are down. He may be drunk, he may be under the influence of drugs, we don't know, not there but if you understand Thai you will hear a male voice saying the victim is drunk, so I would say he knows a little more then we do. Why are you so quick to denigrate the victim as a menace to society, do you don't know him,? it may be a one off situation while celebrating Songkran, who knows,?, A little judgemental wouldn't you say? If anyone was a menace to society at this time, I would suggest it's the offender, not the victim.
