Dear Members,

Anybody with a good proposal for a charity institution in Thailand, where for sure most of the donations go to the charity?

Looking for a charity to be mentioned in a will.

Pls. no funny replies.

We have been operating a charity sports event for 16 years in Thailand. The first three charities we chose for the first three years provided no transparency. Actually, each of them caused us to reassess our donations. We then became familiar with the Camillian Center in Rayong. Very transparent, very well run. It is a charity for orphans or abandoned children who are HIV positive. Well worth investigating for your donation.

I second the above. Its a fine place for donations and a hard working dedicated crew with some damn great kids that can use whatever they can get.....

not sure whether it matters for you to spend locally in Loei?

If not, a charity I can recommend is Father Ray foundation, see http://www.fr-ray.org/

Dear Members,

Thanks for the 3 replies so far.

Indeed I'm looking for something like this.

Would like to get some more suggestions.

Transparency is a must for me.

I recommend Childsdream. They are based in Chiang Mai and focus on helping underprivileged children to get a decent education. More information below:
