Help! Lost teachers licence waiver. Need a new copy ASAP!

Featured Replies

Hi guys,

I've been working at a school since May last year and I'm on my first 2 year teachers licence waiver. Me and a couple of colleagues have just realised that we were never given our waivers (the A4 print out with our photo attached) and now the school can't find them. If we go to the teachers council tomorrow with our passports and work permits, will we be able to get a new copy on the same day? We are supposed to be going to immigration this week to get new non-b visas for our new contracts so time is of the essence.

Any help and advice will be greatly appreciated.

Your school has LOST your waivers... Wow

This would happen more often than one would want to think. Also this is not related to just schools. Always keep a copy of ALL your documents. Passport included.

Yes. Lesson learnt. Do you know if I can get a replacement on the same day?

I worked for a school that actually lost another teacher's passport.

Can't you just get a copy at the local labor department? They do keep all documents in a folder and when you're asking politely, i don't think that would be a problem.

Best of luck.

P.S. You should also consider that the school might have given them the originals.
