Wonka
Ihave seen a furnace being build for melting 200 kg bronze. They used ordinary bricks and ordinary hollow concrete building blocks and puttied it up with something looking like china clay. It took about 6 hours (using charcoal) to melt the bronze. I have no idea about have long time the furnace could be operative. A furnace built up around the mould was fired up around 48 hours, but at a lower temperature (firewood only) It was all made by a professional bronze moulding team. If I was going to build a long lasting furnace I would propably mix some refractory materials on my own.

Pond Life
Starting at Central airport plaza, head towards Hang Dong on the 108. After you pass Tesco Lotus look out on your left side for a place selling bricks & tiles. They have fire bricks, marked MOT 30, they also sell the high temp cement.
