I am currently on an extension of stay based on retirement. I have applied for job at my Embassy in Bangkok.

If I were to get the position, what are my options regarding Visa/Extension of stay.

I am married to a Thai national and have been here for almost 3 years.

It is not teaching position.

Thanks.

First and foremost is the work permit, also a change of Visa to extension based on Marriage to a Thai national is one option.

You cannot work on an extension based on retirement.

Experts will be along shortly.

Your embassy normally should be able to arrange your extension of stay dependent upon the position you have with them.

If needed you could change to an extension based upon marriage, obtain a work permit and work.

Thanks for the Replies. I did a quick search this morning and thought as much. Just wanted it confirmed by another opinion by more experienced people. Again thank you.
