ltdknowledge
Thai Bride Boom - BBC Report My friend met a thai lady in the UK, they move here to Thiland recently. He though everything was ok despite the rumours. He dropped everything for her and her son. She had done the most unthinkable thing it cant be discussed here. What hes more ashamed of is the people here who said beware. He defended his girlfriend all the time stating that everything is fine. He's now at breaking point. So as some have said here. Beware. . Beavis and Butthead
The picture in the link is Dave Thailand's avatar; must be from a TV show or something. Interesting article that no doubt applies to many expats around. I think there's more Brits married to Thais than anyone else. I gave up signing marriage contracts 10 years ago at age 35 after signing 2 of them. Not sure what the fascination is with them other than making your visa situation easier
Tyfon
"Mr Lynch says he screens the women to make sure none has a background in bar work or prostitution. " ...and they are all board-certified virgins with at least one Nobel prize and have turned down offers of the Miss Universe title on not less than three occasions... And while we're at it - shouldn't the title read "Thai Bride Boom-Boom..." ? Edited September 6, 2006 by Tyfon

libya 115
For 1650 GBP a man would be better off getting a cheap return flight to Thailand (500 GBP) then enjoying three weeks in a nice hotel (250 GBP) and then enjoy three weeks of food, beer and female company (900GBP) and I am sure (he) could find a wife for himself in those said three weeks. nostrel
Lawrence Lynch ,he was the guy on the Louis Theraux documentary about BKK marriage bureaus on UK TV some years back .He made a complete fool of himself so i recall. a few other marriage bureaus were seen on the programe with Louis letting them make a fool of themselves. The way things are going half of issan women will be living in the UK soon, with all the attendant divorces and unpleasant court proceedings . Nilapat
“It also deals with those who want to get married - it records around 70 couples a week coming in to get marriage documents processed, nearly all of them older British men marrying younger Thai women … never mind a number of recent cases of foreigners in Thailand who were murdered after their marriages to Thai women went wrong.” As if a British woman has never murdered her British husband. rcm
wow, i found this also on Lawrence Lynch's thai-professional.com Website. not only does his website look cheap..... "If you are, "sick to the back teeth" (as I was) with the new breed of twenty-first century woman. Disillusioned with the kind of de-feminised, over-sized, overbearing, self centred, mercenary minded lady available on the Western singles scene, whose middle name, should be "What have you done for me lately?"! Who is only out for what she can get - Perhaps you are not "Gods gift to women", (or perhaps you are; and are not appreciated!) feel that you may be past your sell-by date, or are a workaholic, young or old, with no time to socialise, or when you do experience the single scene you are completely disillusioned with it all. Whatever has been the final "Straw to break the camels back" in your mind - There IS an answer T.P.I. SERVICES ARE FOR YOU! - Let us make your dreams and aspirations a reality - WE DELIVER!!"
