In June the US changed the fiancee visa petition 129F to include questions about the man such as if he has ever been convicted of domestic violence or other crimes. It strikes me that many of you are ignoreing the fact that many men who marry Thai women are <deleted> who mistreat the women. I can't believe the way some men treat there women and still expect loyalty. A fool and his money are soon parted and if the Thai woman takes advantage of the more power to her. This is only one embassy. Like to see the ratio of marraiges, official and unofficial:horror stories. Case of the silent majority that works? Taking into account the vast cultural differences, it may turn out to be a very positive story.... A same-culture marraige going wrong, or even horribly wrong, is not news. A cross-cultural marraige going wrong is very newsworthy.... (?) ... to the very many who are so opposed to anything beyond their own little world, wishing to justify their abhorrance of 'dirty old men' marrying 'bargirls'. Seems to me if you have an anonymous poll of western males in this part of the world, that's about what the majority will say. This does not say that all western females are anything like that. Just the majority maybe? I'd think it's pretty accurate too, but again, thats only my opinion. The phenomenon is nothing new, it's been addressed since the sixties. It's even been cited as a reason for the growth of homosexuality in the west. PC does not neccesarily = true. Actually, mostly, PC = molding future attitudes, not present facts. A lot of them are bough,... sorry "chosen" by people who just want them to work in "spa's" and "sauna's" brothel operations in the UK, or other European countries. The biggest worldwide crime at time of writing is "people smuggling", so i suppose a lot of these lucky ladies are at least fortunate to enter a country not crammed in the back of a trailer. For those at the Thai Food Festival he was the guy I was talking to outside the Beer Chang tent....supprise supprise. No names or comments but they have been operating in LOS for about 20 years and for any old lags out there that have used them their mooto was a bit like the old British Caledonian airways slogan...ref :see ...you have a choice I got to know them and used to help out with a bit of translation and also met quite a number of guys who used their services (but not me..honest guv)...hence all the Stag" parties in Soi C and the Offshore bar and the subsequent "weddings" at the Suk registry Office.....sanuk etc. There are a couple of other similar outfits still operating over there...but their reputations says it all.
