Android 5, a battery drain?

Featured Replies

I just updated my Samsung Note 4 to Android 5 and since them my battery life is cut in half.

My wife did the same and experienced the same shortage of battery life. Anyone else?

It seems only on Samsung's. Strange isn't it!

On my Motorola moto g I had to download a pre installer.. I wonder if that set up the phone from dalvik to art before the actual ROM update.

Is this 5.0 or 5.0.1?

Look for an app called Drippler. Once it detects your Note 4 it will provide lots of how-tos and I think this is one of them.

I recently updated to Android 5.0.2 on my Sony Xperia Z1, and the battery is draining faster than before. I will look into Drippler. Thank you.

My Samsung Note 4 has now version 5.0.1

I installed Drippler and found out that my WiFi connection problems seems also related to Android 5.

Oh gee, I wish I hadn't updated.

Good to know since i read some reports which says, version 5.02 should fix the issue. The only thing which could help is to do a factory reset. But for me this is no solution. It takes too much time to install and configure all the apps.

I still use KitKat and happy with it.

its probably all the crap that samsung put on, i have the note 3 and rooted it then used titanium backup to remove 93 yes that not a typo of pre installed samsung apps, the phone works exactly the same apart from things like s finder etc
