Xena disc brake lock with a moving sensor and a built in 120DB alarm

Recommended Posts

Beware, they are very sensitive of water, as if it rains on them. They does'nt work correctly anymore.

It nearly got me arrested in Cambodia once for disturbing the peace, when it began the alarm all by itself, and

stopped by itself after one second.

Well, that's not good news.

I saw a video on it, they soaked it in a bucket of water, and it still worked.

I would post the video, but it's in Thai.

I was gonna buy one years ago, but was in SP320 and they had motion alarms for 400 baht.

I bought 2 for the sake of it.

One for every day/night use, and two for special occasions of leaving it somewhere besides my house at night.

It was late 2010.

May 2015 I still use the same one every night and it still works as if new. Don't know the Db, but loud enough to wake up the whole soi with its sonic shrieking.

Much better than I ever imaged they would be.

Anyway, you got the link to the Xena, good luck.

Guess you arent talking about Xena disc locks alarms, are you? Xena should be more expensive than 400 Baht.

What model/brand are you using? Picture possible? I saw alarm locks at Tesco for 500 Baht, chinese brand. But dont know if they are any good.

I have one of the 450baht ones / 2-3 years now.

When audio 'died', disassembly revealed that the rubber gasket [?O-ring]

had not been seated properly and the electronics failed.

Properly assembled they are prolly good.

I bought another.

Maybe something to keep in mind with various locks?
