Might be problematic !

Usually an employer is required as well as possession of a visa which permits the issue of a WP

That is before any account is taken of the number of Thai employees who must be employed as a pre of condition of issuing a WP

Best if inquiry is made at the local Labour Office

In Bangkok it is definitely possible - I know this for a fact. However, the home address I am referring to has a commercial office built on to the end of the house.

The house and the office are joined, but the office has it's own glass entrance doors, etc.

If you mean working out of a spare room in the house, then I'm not so sure. Bare in mind you have to supply realistic photos of yourself and your employees in the premises to get a work permit.

I tried it 10 years ago in a groundfloor condo in Najomtien, Chonburi, and no way.

Needed to rent office space where you can show your 4 employees sitting at a desk.

It should be normally not a problem but you will probable need a dedicated area which you use as a office.

( office table, chairs etc )

This will be used as evidence for the application.
