Rather, just my view, I think that Bush came into office seeking to expand US dominance internationally. Rather simpler than that from Bush. Punishment for Saddam's unsuccessful attempt to kill W's Daddy. Cheney, Rumsfeld and Wolfowicz? Yeah, truly evil world domination plans. Right out of an Austin Powers movie, only scarier.
