May 18, 201511 yr Just finished my first coffee yesterday when I heard a lot of noise coming from the bottom of the garden. About 7 to 10 birds seemed to be dive bombing something in the corner. Went for a look and found a Golden tree snake, back to the wall, is the best way I can describe it, being hassled by the birds, a few different breeds. It was about 60/70 cm long and 10/15 mm diameter. I managed to pick it up with a piece of stick and lift it to the top of the wall and it disappeared into the waste ground behind the wall. A few hours later I found a small birds egg in the same corner, white with brown speckles about 10mm long then understood why the birds were giving the snake a hard time. End of short story.
May 18, 201511 yr OP, my story is a little bit different. The bird was hassled by the snake and had no chance.

May 18, 201511 yr They're pretty harmless, and very beautiful. I've had them coming into my kitchen before now.
May 18, 201511 yr In the states We have these Grackels squawk and dive bomb some times of the year but never in Thailand until recently. This aggro bugger perched on a flagpole at Tawandang came at me so many times whilst riding my bike I gave up and left.
May 26, 201511 yr Very pleased you did not kill the snake, which seems to be the first response by many on ThaiVisa, putting up pictures of snakes they have just killed, then asking "What kind of snake is this", answer its a dead one. regards worgeordie
May 26, 201511 yr Every time I hear the local birds kicking up a fuss outside I go and have a look in the hope it's a snake...but so far it's just been cats on the prowl
