i have a dear friend who is thai, she has asked me to find out about any pitfalls in transferring monies to the UK, i have read many times about "us lot" having problems related to this, she is wanting to buy her daughter a flat in the uk, so i would imagine it would be a fair old sum of about £170,000, just a ballpark figure.i am going to e mail my solicitor in the uk tomorrow to ask about the uk end of procedure, thankyou
