Can you still get the non o based on marriage from Birmingham. And what paperwork would I need.

London is nearer for me but not sure if they do visas.

Thank you for any help

London will be fine.

A lot depends on if you want a single or multiple non-O. But normally the marriage certificate and signed copy ID-card spouse should do I to get a single non-O.

Just walk in, but you won't get it the same day, I believe. Bring a stamped addressed envelope with you.

Multiples now need permission from London, so if closer to London it might be the best to just go there.

Had that changed recently then?

Got my multi non-o from Birmingham late last year in 15 minutes just showing marriage certificate and copy of wife's id. Consulate staff did not mention needing to obtain permission from the London Embassy.

The Birmingham Consulate web site seems very adamant about the issue of "NON O" visas ..............

"With immediate effect all Non-Immigrant visas cannot be issued on the same day, as we require authorisation from the Royal Thai Embassy in London. PLEASE ALLOW AT LEAST 1 WEEK PRIOR TO DEPARTURE."

If you are married to a Thai they can now do provided you have the Marriage paper and copy of wife ID signed I got single 0 two months ago 14th April was offered a multi but single was enough as am going to change that to retirement. Time was not 15 minutes but nearly 18 as they copied paper work.

Edit to put in correct date. To clarify just phone them I found them very helpful.
