Criminal record check for thai person

Featured Replies

Hi all

My thai wife & I live in the UK. We're back in Thailand at the moment on holiday and there's a job in the UK my wife has applied for working as a carer. They need to do a criminal record check (ECRB) on her but of course background in UK is only short so getting a Thai one and a translation will help.

She's from SaKaeo area. We're on holiday in hua hin.

Where does she go to get this paperwork and is there a Thai name for it.

Thanks in advance for any help

This should be the same thing my Fiance has to get for her Visa and many people get Work Permits and many other reasons.

This is what the US Embassy sends out.

That helps thanks.

The bit asking for a letter from the embassy asking for the certificate won't be possible though

It's in Siam. 200mts from the bts. Tuk tuks tried to scam us for a ride in front of tbe crooked cops. But an old lady called me over and said you walk. Not far. She was honest. Be carefull.

We had to get one for my Thai Fiancee' for her K1 Fiancee' VISA (USA) and the USA Embassy.

Easy to get.

Did this in February of this year. Seems we paid a bit more to "expedite" the process, but

I was later told I did not need to do this.

Make sure you make a copy of it quickly. We almost lost ours.

We are now on Maui, Hawaii and the K1 Fiancee' VISA process was long & exhausting. I hope whatever

you want the document for, it's much easier for you.

Best wishes,

Steve

You may have to have the UK Criminal Record check done there as well despite her only being there for a short period. If I remember correctly a form can be completed at the front public desk of the Police Station and the fee paid. Oh! and you will get a receipt.
