maphraw Posted June 4, 2015 Share Posted June 4, 2015 I will be completing my contract with a Thai company end of July. I am wondering what I might have to do to stay in the Kingdom. Would I have to leave Thailand and get a Non O in Laos for example. Would I need evidence that my work permit has been returned to the Labour Department. Would I need evidence that I have paid my taxes. If I want to apply for a marriage visa ( I have a Thai wife and the marriage is registered) would I have to leave the country? And if I want to apply for a retirement visa would I have to leave the country? Any advice/suggestions would be appreciated. Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
Mario2008 Posted June 4, 2015 Share Posted June 4, 2015 You could apply for an extension of stay absed on your marriage if: - you live with your wife in Thailand - have an income of 40,000 baht a month OR 400,000 baht in a bank account in Thailand. If not you could get a multiple non-O visa at Savanakhet (Laos). Procedure is to cacel your work permit at the labour office and the permisison to stay at immirgaiton, for both you need a letter from your employer, clearly stating the last day of your employement.
