Is it possible that one of the mods correlate and PIN THE FACTS arising from the following threads:-

82672

82989

82914

82563

83119

I for one am finding it very hard to sort the wheat for the charf.

Thank you

Mate I honestly don't think there are any facts until October 1 or an official statement is posted by immigration. A friend said this....a lawer has heard this..........all speculation as the powers that be are changing their tack on an almost hourly basis. This is ###### important to us all, I enjoy the speculation, but until the true facts are published, that's all it is, speculation, the mods would't know where to start.

Also, even if we had the facts, we would still need this wonderful forum for reports on the actual enforcement of the new rules at all of the different places in question (embassies, consulates, land border crossings, airport entries, problems with boarding flights to Thailand).

We will pin as soon as soon as we have the facts, hopefully Friday or Monday,

Thank you George, keep up the good work, we do appreciate it :o

Just got a call from Camb. border @ AranyaPT

police rejected whole bunch of philipinos on Oct 1st ground.

Comrade Oleg...

For wider dissemination, I reposted the above on the main visa thread...

Thank you for the update.

Yes, that's really the rub when it comes to Thailand. It's easy enough for the government to come up with all sorts of new rules and regulations but the degree to which they're actually enforced, versus ignored completely, at all the points of contact is a whole other matter.

Pre-emptive obeisance by officials at a border post. Perhaps angling for a bonus from their superiors?

So it seems the instructions have already arrived at the border posts. From a post by George on 11 September:

The Thai Immigration Bureau are distrubuting info to all border posts while we speak.
