Mortgage Interest Rates

Featured Replies

Anyone have any information on current mortgage interest rates? My son is thinking of buying a condo and would need a mortgage to do so. Checked a banks website and it seemed to suggest 12% which seems very high. Ta.

Assuming your son has Thai nationality.

I don't have the paperwork in front of me but our mortgage (for a house) from SCB works out at about 6% which ties up fairly well with Kasikorn's website http://www.kasikornbank.com/EN/Personal/Loans/KHomeLoan/Pages/KHomeLoanKasikorn.aspx

Which bank were suggesting 12%?

Yes, son is Thai. I checked Bangkok Bank but info was not very clear, maximum rate was the only figure that seemed to be quoted. Probably needed to go deeper into the website. Thanks for reply and link.

SCB 6.85% (printed at the bottom left of your monthly pink slip)

Once the initial offer period expires, which usually works out at around 2% for the first year.
