Canada eyes business & infrastructure investment opportunities in Thailand

BANGKOK, 11 June 2015 (NNT) –The Canadian Ambassador to Thailand has paid a courtesy visit to the Deputy Prime Minister of Economy to discuss business and investment opportunities in Thailand.

During talks at the Government House, H.E. Mr. Philip Calvert expressed his appreciation for MR Pridiyathorn Devakula who participated in the Canada-ASEAN Business Forum in March and the first Thailand-Canada Business Meeting, which proved useful to both Thai and Canadian business sectors.

The Canadian Ambassador also showed interest in persuading Canadian businessmen to invest in Thailand, following signs that its economy is starting to recover. He also inquired about opportunities for Canadian investors to take part in the government’s infrastructure projects, particularly the monorail project, Suvarnabhumi Airport expansions, and satellite development.

Meanwhile, MR Pridiyathorn affirmed that the government would select investors impartially, stressing that the chosen investors must be willing to share knowledge and technologies with the country, which is pushing forth its policy of Digital Economy.

Go Team Canada ! I am doing my little part by exporting to my home country.

So we are up to C on the list of those who are going to invest in Thailand's infrastructure.

Denmark will be next although I somehow doubt Dubai is on the approved list!:)
