johnnaidoo
I possess a new car which was leased from a leasing company by my school. I am no longer at the school and was told to either get a Thai guarantor or return the vehicle to the school or sell it. Due date for the transfer is end Sept. I pay the monthly premiums. > I have already paid for two years now. > I have difficulty finding a Thai gurantor - However, on your site you state that a work permit/.Immigration verification of address are the only pre requisites for purchasing a Car. Is that so? You do not state on your site about obtaining a Guarantor. Please confirm as this is urgent. JONN

JONN There is a difference between purchasing (owning) a car, what the above information is, and financing a car which is what you are needing. Since you have been paying for two years, assuming without defaults, then perhaps discuss it with the leasing company what your options are. Else, you will need to find someone willing to co-sign for you. Edited September 14, 2006 by tywais

JONN Don't know where you are, but all you'd need to put the vehicle in your name in Phuket, is confirmation of your address from the Thai immigration office, your passport + copies - No g'tor, work permit or visa .....I speak for Phuket, other locations are apparently more difficult.
