I want to invite few investors from arab countries. How can i invite them officially? I was told that i need to file an application at MFA Thailand. Is this right? If no, then whats the procedure to issue invitation letters for them.

Generally, an executive of a Thai company sends a letter to the foreigner, inviting him for a business discussion. Often, summary information of the nature of the business to be discussed is also given.

Some Thai consulates may require additional documents from the company for a non-B visa. The applicant should check with the consulate where he plans to apply.

Usually, the invitation letter is addressed and mailed to the invited person who submits it to the consulate with the visa application. Sometimes, a consulate wants the letter addressed to itself, in which case it is a confirmation of the invitation, but still coursed through the invited foreigner who submits it with his application.

From what you say you have been told it appears that the consulate wants to receive a confirmation letter addressed to the consulate and forwarded to the consulate via the consular department of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs. Better double-check with your source if this is indeed the case.

It could also be that your signature on the invitation or confirmation letter must be authenticated by the consulate of the country of which you are a national, and that the consul's signature will in turn have to be authenticated by the MFA, and this letter then to be submitted by the invited person to the Thai consulate with his visa application.
