Thaivisa News

Again, for the thousandth time ...

The Nigerians would deceive their victims that they would come to Thailand to visit them and would bring a lot of money to invest in the country.

... the gang members pretended to be handsome farang gay men and picked on their victims among Thai gay men.

Of course, No one would believe that some money can come from Nigeria, and also Thais only like white skin ... zero chance.

Nigerians were also charged with having entered the country illegally.

They came here on foot or what, maybe a officer helped a little bit

BTW, I'd like to know what happen with them after they were arrested?

Expulsion for Nigerians and Thai ...

IN CHONBURI, CHONBURI ???

Get out from my district

I may have misunderstood your post....but you are advocating Thais get out of your district????
No, Fakers and scummers ...

so I take it your leaving Chonburi then ?

What's with the teasing?

Looks like the Thai woman has been duped too, Nigerian men befriend her saying we need a bank account vto deposit money, if you let us use yours we will give you ex amount of money.

she wasn't duped - she was complicit. she identified herself as a Thai immigration officer. She was a major part of the scam.

She is just gonna be transferred .... crazy.gif

I find it inconceivable that there are still people out there willing to trust unknowns over the net.

Then again my phone rings every evening with scammers form India re some computer issue my server apparently has so the fraud so must work. They can get pretty mouthy too if you comment back and seem ot have a significant amount of personal detail correct. I miss the landline but it is more of a liability than a tool and gone.

After the emotional and financial cost for the victim, I truly resent how these farkers change the way we have to negotiate everything because of their greed.

You better believe it and Australians apparently are amongst the ones worst hit. Some willing to send HUNDREDS of thousands of dollars to " lovers " they have never metblink.png

I was reading an article some time back and it described how they actually have "schools" set up in Nigeria to teach all the various scams.

Yes...

And do they not have schools in Thailand to teach MeterTaxi drives, bar girls and other scammers how to get more money from tourists?

This may be the first time I have felt sorry for a gay person...this just should not happen...

Scammers by the thousands roam the internet looking for vulnerable people...older, lonely, people seeking a little confirmation that they are still wanted by someone...

The person on the other end of the internet...posing as a handsome young man or beautiful young woman...could be any gender or nationality...

Some of these operations are sophisticated...including professionally produced passport, visa, airline tickets, and other docs...

Can not be too careful...

Well, a fool and his quadrupeds cannot be parted but they seem to get away with his dosh easily enough!

I know what you say to be true. Hey, a couple of sub-continentals asked me in a venue in Sri-Racha if i could change 10 usd did for baht and i did. It was photocopied. I laughed for their and my sake that I only realised the next morning. Ten bucks!!

It is piteous though what some must or will do for the sake or honest graft. You have to allow for the 'must' and 'will do' on occasion here. Tiresome though.

What you refer to above is tragic because at it heart is purposeful deceit of the heart, a trade on loneliness.

Frankly, there are no racial stereotypes for these types of crime. It is just universal LCDs, lowest common denominators that see the advantage and go whack/

sad

Well at least the Thai gay men knows it s not a farang that did this so he can always look for the real deal knowing that all farang men are rich and handsome.

I think its about time immigration started really cracking down on visa's and long term stays in Thailand, they should make it harder and more expensive to get visa or an extension of stay and they could re introduce capping the amount of time a person is allowed in Thailand on visa waivers, lets say 180 days maximum in a 12 month period, so many things they could do to keep the undesirables out the country

Or, you could just leave voluntarily, and do everyone a favor.

I'm sure there are some wonderful, law abiding Nigerians, however; why do

All the scammers and scum bags come to Thailand?

We have them in Canada too. So does the USA. The internet has opened up a massive international business for furtive crooks to rob dreamers and greedy people .... EVERYWHERE !

Police seized nine ATM cards, nine bank books, eight mobile phones and a notebook computer. The five Nigerians were also charged with having entered the country illegally.

They're seen swimming in the Indian ocean, some of them are still swimming somewhere in the Gulf of Thailand and Andaman Sea....biggrin.png

Why don't these idiots just stay home? Instead, they run the dumbest scam ever and inevitably get caught.

At home, they'd only be victims of scams. And somebody has to swallow all. I mean the condoms with coke.

There are people who are already 20 years on the 1 month entry in Thailand. It won't disturb them at all.
