Of posting on TV

I get many likes on my mail box.

And many flamers on the site.

I can take it, but why bother?

I try to be open and honest, post my opinion.

I think it is goodbye time.

And to save the flamers the effort of "good riddance,"!

Unfortunately there are some very bitter people on site that - instead of learning feel like they have to share their displeasure with their keyboard.....

They over shadow the legit posters and waste good threads boning themselves up.....

Aw, come on, stick around. Your input is valuable. Put the flamers on IGNORE. Be aware, however that this feature fails to work after about fifteen pages, or so I have discovered. The IGNORED come back to life, like The UnDead!

Don't go because of MaejoMTB giving you grief, he loves to have a pop at everyone....me included. Just look at the flaming as weak mindedness, who probably are bored, so they need to take someone down with them...lol

If I get flamed , sorry to admit, I flame back.

It is a forum for discussion, not an ego trip.

If some writers here were face to face with me in conversation, they would not stand a chance in debate; debate not fisty cuffs..

I have a very sharp tongue, rein myself in here to be within TV rules

Add, I will debate about those things I know about.

I know absolutely nothing about many things and therefore I do not comment.

When I am insulted for my postings and the hint is I am an Indian the steam comes out of my ears.

What if I was an Indian?

It is an insult and furthermore an insult to my wife and son, who are Thai!

I have explained to everyone before, I am a London East Ender, cockney, white, white parents, one Scottish and please do not try to imply my inferiority.

It would not matter to me if I were Indian, or Peruvian, whatever.

Racist slurs offend me.

There does seem to be quite a few bitter & sarcastic people on here, but more than any other site, I'm not sure.

I have been a member on another site for more than 5 years - not thai related, & there's often trolls & idiots on there too. Gets very tiresome at times.

I try to post without emotion ie not get upset with some of the daft comments; no need to 'throw in the towel' Buhi - just ignore them. smile.png

My Thai assistant, when I was teaching in Thai schools was remarkable.

We worked together for years and she could anticipate where I would go next.

We were mainly teaching young children.

If she was sick, my wife would stand in, but hadn't a clue compared to Oh. That is not criticism ; how could she ?

Oh and I worked together for six years.

When I teach I do not follow a straight line plan.

I react to my observations and adjust to where we need to go.

Oh knew to expect the unexpected and my style, method.

Great days.

Flame away!

Since this is meant to be an open thread; no real theme ; I shall offer another observation.

I was having lunch at a nearby cafe and Jessie and Kat came in.

They have always known me, Jessie is four Kat is three.

Not scared of me and I enjoy simple conversations with them in English.

Grandmother was with them and my friend Goi .

I demonstrated how to teach English. All joined in. What a fun time.

Kat being the youngest was speaking first.

No inhibitions, heard me and without any prompting repeated the word. Yes just one word I did not expect a three year old to write an essay on Shakespeare.

Follow up.

Both grandmother and Goi tried to translate.

Just as Oh had strict instructions not to do that, I told them not to.

They were surprised, then knew why.

So what is the purpose of staging a public departure rather than quietly slipping away?

Fishing for a groundswell of pleas begging you to remain?
