Gasohol prices reduced by 40 satang from tomorrow onward

BANGKOK, 23 June 2015 (NNT) - PTT Pcl and Bangchak Petroluem Pcl will lower the prices of all types of gasohol, by 40 satang per liter tomorrow from 05.00 hrs onward.


All gasohol sold by both companies will be sold for 40 satang cheaper, except for gasohol E85 which will only be reduced by 20 satang.

The prices of Benzene 95 will be 35.66 baht per liter, gasohol-95 29.50 baht per liter, and gasohol-91 28.68 baht per liter. Meanwhile, E20 will be 27.28 baht per liter, E85 23.38 baht per liter and diesel 25.59 baht per liter.

Deaf Chinese tourist fatally injured by train

BANGKOK: -- A 62-year old Chinese tourist was fatally injured when he was hit by a train at the railroad crossing in front of the Miracle Grand Hotel at 10 am Tuesday.

Police said the tourist was identified as Shen Guozhu. The tourist was crossing the railroad to a convenient store on the opposite from the hotel when he was hit by the train. He apparently did not hear the trains' whistle because he was deaf.

1st ASEAN Disaster Medical Rally held in Chiang Rai during 22-25 Jun

CHIANG RAI, 23 June 2015 (NNT) - The1st “ASEAN Disaster Medical Rally: Together We Will Survive” is being held during 22-25 June in Thailand’s northernmost province of Chiang Rai. It is jointly organized by Chiang Rai Provincial Public Health Office, Ministry of Public Health, and the National Institute for Emergency Medicine.


The rally was officially opened on Tuesday by Mr. Bhichit Rattakul, Emergency Medical Committee member and Chairman of the Sub-committee on Emergency Medical System in Disaster Situation.

Bhichit said that main objectives are to enhance cooperation, build partnerships and collaborative network among national and international public health organizations in particular the ASEAN member states.

“At the rally, all participants can develop knowledge of disaster preparedness and emergency response and learn mutual experiences from local and international teams,” he continued.

Over 350 doctors, nurses, paramedics and EMT from Thailand and ASEAN countries as well as Japan are scheduled to attend a field training session on 24 June at two sites, one at Chiang Rai Rajabhat University and the other at the Disaster Prevention and Mitigation Regional Center Region 15.

The field session will feature training on Emergency Medical Systems (EMS), line of command in emergency situation, field hospital management, water rescues, building collapse, and chemical spills.

Cabinet approves extension of panda pairs' stay until 2023

BANGKOK: -- The Cabinet Tuesday approved the extension of the Sino-Thai cooperation on panda conservation, resulting in the extension of the stay of Chuang Chaung and Lin Hui pandas at the Chiang Mai Zoo until 2023.

The ten-year project started on October 12 2003 so it has ended on October 2013. The Cabinet's resolution retroactively extended the project from October 2013 to 2023.
