Thai Paypal Account but Log in from U.S. - any possible problem

Featured Replies

My wife has an active eBay business and a Paypal Account linked to a Thai based Credit Card.

She will be going to the U.S. for a few months shortly and I am a little concerned that if she Logs in to Paypal from the 'States Paypal may consider this "unusual activity" and freeze the Account.

Is this possible / likely or am I just being paranoid?

Patrick

There is no such thing as PARANOID when it comes to ebay/Paypal , they seem to make up rules as they go......

but saying that I / We have an Ebay and Paypal account in Thailand with Thailand bank info and address,

Since I do most of the listing I know that can be done from both sides,

Also with Paypal we have withdrawn $$$$ on the Thai side and used the Paypal funds to buy stuff on the USA side

But you can never tell what will put up a red flag with them !

just bring your sim card in case they want to send access codes or verification by sms...

In that case make sure roaming is working as well, otherwise you can't receive your SMS :-)

Just get a good VPN service with servers in Thailand that you can connect to prior to accessing PayPal if you are afraid something's gonna happen.

I have used exactly this with no problems for years. I can even ship things to US addresses on Ebay.
