Jay2013
Hi all/ swadee kap, . I will be travelling to Bangkok next week and would like to apply for a THAI passport for my thai girlfriend and thai born son. I have been to the consular website but cannot an address of where in Bangkok I need to go in order to make the application, Can anybody help me with this? Has anybody had any experience of doing this recently? I would like to apply for the fast track service where the passport is ready for pickup after 2 days. What sort of time frame would I be looking at to apply at the passport office and more importantly, where is the office in Bangkok and how long would it take to reach from Sbummy airport. Thankyou.,
Mario2008
There are 3 offices in BKK where one can apply. The nearest one to Suv. would probably Bangna, at Central Bangna. There is also one at Pinklao and one at the MFA-Consular department at Chenag Wattana Road. Application takes about 30 minutes, including waiting for your turn. Jay2013
My hotel is booked on sukumvit road, which one would be closest to this?
Bangkokhatter
Thats a long road but the passport office at Central Bangna is probably your best bet, about 20 mins from swampy.

KhunBENQ
Just asking: where do you live and is there another reason to go to Bangkok except the passport? Usually they will have the passports within 7 days when they apply at the other offices all over the country. Does the son already have an ID card? Jay2013
he doesn't have a id card as he is only 2 - should he? I though it wasn't possible for a child that young. We will in aryanpradet which is close to the Cambodian border but I have booked a hotel in Bangkok for a week due to the fact I need to also apply for his british passport.

Moved to Sri nakarin rd http://bangkok.coconuts.co/2014/11/25/thai-passport-service-move-srinakarin-road Child will need his birth certificate, house registrstion. Both parents should be there and just to be safe the father should bring along his foreign passport for ID.
tx22cb
I don't think there is a Thai passport office at Central Bangna, unless it's a seasonal traveling "roadshow". Many years ago, there used to be one at Ample Tower, Bangna (Km 4). According to the MFA website, there are 3 passport offices for the general public in BKK, as mentioned in their web page: 1) Min of Foreign Affairs at Changwattana Road (the main one) 2) Thanya Park building, Sri Nakarind Road 3) TescoLotus at Pinklao The other passport offices are upcountry - 14 of them in various major cities. I see 2 posters insist that there is a passport office at Central Bangna - you can try it first if you like, and if you can't find it at Central Bangna, then have a good meal and then try one the 3 above (Thanya Park will then be the nearest). Personally, I believe poster Samran.

shaggy851
If in doubt go to chaeng wattana near mor chit chatuchak. I went there did my stuff at immigration building B and took a motorcycle nearby to the thai building later and applied for passport. Maybe took 10 minutes at most mid afternoon and they sent the passport in mail, took about 1 week cost about 800 baht? Not sure exact cost I was not allowed inside as a foreigner. Your Thai gf will be easily able to find where and how to do. Mine was not even familiar with BKK city. Did this about 10 days ago
