PATTAYA: -- A husband and wife were injured during a shootout involving a family member in a residential area of North Pattaya on Tuesday Night.

The incident occurred in Soi 7 off the Naklua Road and left Khun Chawalit aged 24 and his wife Khun Supaporn aged 20 with gunshot wounds. Khun Supaporn was seriously injured and rushed to a specialist Hospital in Chonburi City while Khun Chawalit sustained a gunshot wound to his buttock.

He explained to Police that the pair had gone to the area to speak with a family member, Khun Akarawit aged 26, to attempt to clear a problem between them. Talks were unsuccessful and it was alleged that Khun Akarawit pulled out a gun and shot the female victim multiple times and then shot the male.

LoS is the hub of crackdowns except it seems for all the guns that are in circulation and oh so readily used.

When will these people ever learn.

If you operate a strict shoot to kill policy in the family home, there are no witnesses around to contradict your story.

The woman on the gurney might have made an effort to try some pointing for the pic, its Pattaya after all, not some remote province where these protocols don't exist.

Standards are slipping all around.

Hey...if these folks were in the US...they would get their own reality show..."Thai Family Feud"...

Family meeting.

Sort out problems.

Take a gun.

No resolution.

Shoot member of family.

One way to resolve a family dispute, that will be greatly regretted 5 minutes after pulling the trigger. I shake my head.blink.png

Bring a gun to resolve Family matters ... ahhh yes thai families are the most important ... clap2.gifclap2.gifclap2.gif NOT

The best way to stop a bad family member with a gun is with a good family member with a gun. If you turn family meetings into gun free zones all you manage to do is to disarm good, law abiding, people when they're faced with bad people who are armed - with guns.

But doesn't it only take a second's loss of temper or loss of face to turn a good law abiding person into a bad person who is armed with a gun.

As Johnny Cash sang ..........

Don't take your guns to town son

Leave your guns at home.
