Police search intensifies for Somyot killer
The Nation

BANGKOK: -- Police continue to examine possible motives for the murder of former night-entertainment tycoon Somyot Suthangkool and would summarise the most likely motives on Friday, Police Major General Chanthep Saesawet, city police deputy commissioner and chief investigator, said yesterday.

The investigators would analyse evidence and witnesses' testimonies, checking each motive possibility and following the progress of criminal activities for Somyot's attacker.

Police investigations reportedly consider as motives; a gambling debt, a land dispute, lawsuits Somyot reportedly handled for drug defendants, family affairs and business conflict, as well as Somyot's role in "clearing away" some lawsuits.

The police probe reportedly traced the shooter via security camera footage, as he fled on a motorcycle with his getaway driver to Soi Serithai 11 where he was picked up by a car. Police are looking for the getaway motorcycle, believed to be hidden at the Hua Mark's Rajamangala Stadium area. A police source said two more persons close to Somyot would be summoned soon for information.

I am going out on a limb to suggest they start with a working theory that someone was unhappy with him.

Unhappy enough to want him dead.

'The investigators would analyze evidence and witnesses' testimonies, checking each motive possibility and following the progress of criminal activities for Somyot's attacker.'

I believe this this sentence is taken straight from the board game box in 'Cluedo', describing how 2-4 players participate to solve the crime.colonel-mustard.jpgtumblr_nijdb3yalM1u0wno1o1_500.jpg

Police search intensifies by staying in their office and summonsing witnesses, oh of course they have all that strenuous checking to do.

That's not really being fair.

After all they do all the 'rushing to the scene' as well. That can't be easy in the Thai heat.

Its a good thing they are allowed a little drinky to keep things civilized.

And now all the roads are impassable too because of all the cracks.

I would go out on a limb and venture a guess that there's a hefty rewards from the kin to find out

who's behind the killings, otherwise there's no explanations to the zeal and vigor of the police

to find the preps they way they do now....

who would stand to gain the most from the death of somyot the person with the largest debt I would think and this person would be on the top of the list that would probably be too easy for the police .

Who give a crap why or by who he was killed + RTP couldnt find their own zipper, just look at the RTP-members on TV - what a bunch of morons ... Somyot gone ... next thx ...

Some here suggest the cops may require payment to get off their asses to do an investigation, for them it's a win win.

Paid by the victims family to do the job, paid by the suspect to go away?
