Where to change internal HDD to SSD for iMac?

Featured Replies

Hello,

Unfortunately I am one of the users who bought a 2012/13 iMac with 3TB internal storage and I got an email from Apple that they have to change my Hard-disk.

I was on the phone with Apple CS Singapore and USA and they told me they can't do that in Thailand. But they will refund me if I buy and install another 3TB HDD.

I will not take the offer from Apple but want to install a faster SSD drive.

My question is, where to I can take my iMac and they will install a new SSD in the shop?

Thanks in advance for any feedback.

Bregards,

Lammbock

Edit/

I should have mentioned that I am located in Bangkok.

You might try asking in iStudio or iBeats in one of the malls. The iStudio shop in Samui has a repair centre, so maybe they have a central service centre in BKK.

I just quickly googled, and found http://www.mac2hand.com http://www.unlimitmac.com so they are out there.

Do yourself a favour and either do a back up or make a clone of your hard disk before giving to any repair shop.

I have just set up my SSD purchase with Woody on the 3rd floor of Pantip Plaza at IT House. Not only does the guy speak good English, but he really knows Apple devices. 085 100 0811 or 087 246 6660
