PM Prayut orders National Security Council to step up intelligence operations

BANGKOK, 14 July 2015 (NNT) - The Prime Minister has ordered the National Security Council to step up its intelligence operations to fully cover all areas.

Prime Minister Gen Prayut Chan-o-cha said that the National Security Council meeting on Monday focused on an intelligence strategy which must help support the country’s security and extend it to include all aspects of risk.

Gen Prayut stated that national security endeavors must be the main pillar in helping Thailand achieve stability, while he also told the meeting that focus must be placed on economic conditions in the border areas.

All in all, the PM said that he told the meeting that intelligence operations must continue to have close ties with Thailand’s strategies over the next two decades.

Meanwhile, the National Security Council Secretary-General Anusit Kunakorn said that the government has also instructed the NSC to prepare an administrative plan for border areas in order to prepare for the development of the special economic zones and to find solutions to any problems in those areas.

Still waiting on the evidence from the same Intelligence people who stated last week, a US Agency was behind the 14 students.. whistling.gifcoffee1.gif

Could it come the ever popular, and convenient, security classification of a ' State Secret ' ?

what they need is more snitches and increase reward funds for arrest, conviction, of those involved in theft/corruption and then RECOVERY of public funds for the past decade. Thailand could then handle the financial problems at home and half of the rest of the worlds problems.

I'm looking forwards to them finding any intelligence in their countrymen

I wouldn't exactly identify them as stupid, they can be quite crafty at leaching all the assets of a willing victim, discarding the wasted shell, then moving on to the next.

Isn't that an oxymoron ?

The Prime Minister has ordered the National Security Council to step up its intelligence
