July 14, 201511 yr Author meant to ask - any car parking there and if so what approx. rates for say one week?
July 14, 201511 yr The current parking rate at U-Tapao is 70 Baht per 24 hour period. However, there is not always someone there to issue the ticket. To avoid problems, if you go to the information desk in the terminal, they will radio the car park attendant and wake him up. Otherwise you may return to a clamped vehicle. Oink

July 14, 201511 yr last year I took a taxi from pattaya. U tapao terminal is small. I found the ladies that run the little shops were very nice. you walk out on the tarmac and get on the plane, like in the old days. They warn you not to take photos and to put your camera away saying it is an active military facility. Phuket airport is small and crowded. I took the bus from Phuket airport into town. Plenty of taxis, vans, touts and all other combinations are waiting there to greet you.
