Kitsune
I have been used to hear the Thai National Anthem every morning at 8am, in my village, in shops and public places. Not my favorite song, but when in Rome... Apparently we Farangs also are due to pay our respect to the King and once I used to be frown upon for not stopping all activities at once while it was playing. Anyway, apparently all that went out of fashion. Now the village does not play it anymore (phew?). Some shop I go regularly and that used to play it religiously, now most of times "forget" to play it or when they play it, almost everyone ignores it The other day, as a joke, I even frown at a couples of ladies happily gossiping next to the TV playing the national anthem. Only they did not take it as joke and froze immediately. Did I miss some major political turn or something?
