Kenyan Runners dominate the Pattaya Marathon 2015

PATTAYA: -- The 24th Pattaya Marathon took place on Sunday Morning and this year’s race was once again dominated by the Kenyans who took the top 7 places in the male race and 1st place in the female race.

The event began well before daybreak with the main race starting at 3.30am. There was also a half-marathon which started at 5.00am and a quarter marathon race which started at 5.45am.

The race began on Beach Road in front of the Central Festival Pattaya Beach and was started by Khun Sontaya, former Minister for Culture, who was joined by the Governor of Chonburi Province, Mayor of Pattaya and a number of other local dignitaries.

why the hell non-Kenyans still take part in this marathon? everybody know that blacks (or, sorry, Afro-africans) are better in long running than any other race.

They're pretty good at sprints too!

But not the same blacks. East Africans from around the horn of Africa are very good long distance runners, but poor sprinters, West Africans or those descended from there are very good sprinters but poor long distance runners.
