July 21, 201510 yr I'm a bit confused about this having gotten a few differing opinions.. I have a long term lease and I want to direct debit the electric bill. I've been told that firstly I go to the bank and get some kind of form which is an authorisation to DD ...then I take this form to the electric authority along with my lease agreement.... Is that correct? My landlord is unavailable to help and in a distant town.... I speak no Thai...... Appreciate your help.... Mike
July 21, 201510 yr I just did it today. I have an account with the SCB bank. I took my passport, bank book and my electricity bill to the bank. They photocopied my passport and filled out a form for me to take to PEA. The main PEA office is on the old Lamphun Road almost opposite Gymkhana Golf Club. Took the form to Desk #7 with no waiting. Next months bill will be automatically withdrawn from my bank account. Very handy if you plan to do any overseas travel because the company is rather ruthless in cutting off your electricity if you are late in paying.
July 22, 201510 yr The question here is, can you auto debit your electric bill if you are renting or only if you own the property? Has anyone renting successfully set this up?
