Scattered rainfall continues in most parts of Thailand

BANGKOK, 23 July 2015 (NNT) - Lower rainfall has been forecast today in the Central Plains, the East and the South of Thailand as the south west monsoon is weakening.

The Meteorological Department said around 20-30% of the Central Plains and the east coast will be covered by rainfall today.

However, with a monsoon trough still lying across upper Myanmar, 60% of the northern and northeastern provinces of Thailand will continue to experience precipitation and scattered thundershowers, especially in the upper part of the regions.

In the South of Thailand, scattered thunder shower has been forecast mostly in Prachuap Khiri Khan, Chumphon, Surat Thani, Ranong and Phang Nga.

The weather bureau is also advising those wanting to go to Japan to stay updated on the weather conditions in Japan as typhoon Halola is expected to reach the south of that country tomorrow.

Great. Might cause some handy floods in which to lose some more awkward documents.

There may be enough water for now, but I'm wondering about November onwards - better be some serious rain before then.

Here in Phuket we had some thunderstorms and a scattering of heavy showers in the middle of this month, but now back to sunny and dry, while the lakes are all 1-1.5 metres down on where they would normally be after the May monsoon rains - which this year never arrived

8 hours of continuous heavy rain 80 km north-east of Udon last night.Plenty of water in this part of the world.
