Sorry if that sounded arrogant, but there is so much speculation border wise on various threads, how about we use this one to report what we have heard, then concerned Tv ers can have a single reference point? Sorry if I am out of line!

I read somewhere that the Laos border to Nong Khai is closed. Anyone know if it's true. I'm in Laos and was planning to go back to Thailand tomorrow.

I would love to see a single thread with credible border crossing information. Please, if anyone has been to the questionable border crossings, please let us know the open/closed status, and be specific about which crossing you are reporting on. On one of these threads I read "Burma border open." Huh??? Where???

I crossed the Friendship bridge to Nong Khai on the 20th just after the coup, so no reason for it to be closed.
