"Hawaii" Bob Sutterfield RIP

Featured Replies

Readers of the forum may be saddened to learn that "Hawaii" Bob Sutterfield died recently. I expect that many who live in Pattaya knew him personally or by sight, as he was involved with various expat clubs, organisations and groups around town.

Sad news. I met him on my first trip to Thailand and through his Frugal Freddie dining group.

He was a man with a warm smile and a big personality.

There is a tribute to Bob this Sunday at the Tavern on the sea restaurant at the amari hotel at 10am.

Here is a 13 minute video of some never before seen photos of the life & times of Hawaii Bob in Thailand & Philippines. Best to watch on full screen. Gone but never forgotten. He did it his way.

Didn't know him or frequent the venues that he was obviously involved in which achieved what? nm that's another post in the rocket science equation, sorry goes out to all his friends and kin may you R.I.P.

RiP Bob.

He was one of a kind...... RIP.

I remember reading his Frugal Freddie columns. Seems he never had a bad meal anywhere, lucky guy. RIP.

He was a very nice man and was involved in a lot of expat activities around town. RIP Bob.
