I need to be at DM by 15:30 on Friday afternoon. I'll be traveling by taxi from Rayong city. What is the best way to go? Should I go to Swampie then get the sky train or just get the taxi all the way from Rayong to DM.

Any ideas how long it will take?

I have been to Rayong quite a bit for day trips. Generally, it is consistently 2.5 hours from Rayong to Chatuchak and the same for return. I think on a mid day Friday, the traffic will not be that bad (if no rain ). I assume DM is Don Muang?

So, I would plan on 2.5 to 3 hours to be safe, so I would leave at about 12:30 or so..

If you go to BKK airport, the skytrain would not take you to Don Muang. I would just take the taxi all the way.

I do this run regular allow at least 3 hours

Fridays on any express way in BKK are busy. No point in stopping at Swampy just go direct. Leave mid morning arrive early and relax.

Skytrain doesn't even reach DMK, so taxi all the way.
