August 13, 201510 yr Hello everybody, so I booked my Yamaha MT07 last Sunday at the motor show in Bitec. I still have to wait about 2 month before starting to drive with it but I would like to get some info about insurance in order to be well prepared. I've been driving a car with a colleague since 3 years already, 160km each day of work, our company paid the car so we don't pay the insurance and we never had any accident so I never deal with the insurance company. So how works a first class insurance? - what kind of accident does it covers? - does it cover robbery? - how much does is cost a year? - which company do you recommend? - can I ask the Yamaha dealer to take care about the paperwork? Another question on a different topic, is it to the dealer of the bike to take care about the license plate or do I have to do it myself? I have a work permit so shouldn't be a problem right? Thanks in advance, Dewey.

August 14, 201510 yr 1st Class (comprehensive) insurance covers the same sections for all vehicles whether they are a small scooter or a large truck, namely all damage (including theft) to your own property and third parties. The 1st Class premium can vary from (example) 3,800 Baht for the small bikes up to 150cc to over 20,000 Baht for the large HD’s and naturally depends on many factors. The only sensible way to find a quote for your own bike is to ask for one once we have all the details. For quotes please go HERE
