Khao Talo drainage grates fixed

PATTAYA:--Storm drains in the Soi Khao Talo area have been repaired following repeated complaints by residents.

Residents complained July 27 that five covers were worn out, falling down about 20 centimeters, creating real hazards for motorbike drivers. They said the grates have been neglected and unmaintained for a long time and city hall has ignored their pleas for repairs.

On Aug. 6, a team of road workers leveled the grates on Soi Khao Talo 5. They used thick steel and welding equipment to support the covers and make sure that they can handle heavy vehicles.

Local residents are now happy that they can use the road without having to avoid falling into the death traps any longer.
