August 22, 201510 yr A friend who will be staying a few days in Pattaya flight out of Don Muang home to Chang Rai wont leave until late afternoon. The only Pattaya to DMK Bell bus scheduled is very early AM. Can one take a Bell bus to Survarnabhumi then the free shuttle to DMK if he is ticketed out of DMK? Exactly where does the shuttle leave from at BKK? What rate are the taxis currently advertising Pattaya to DMK?
August 22, 201510 yr A taxi costs from 1200 baht (Mr T) I do the trip often by van from Pattaya tai to Victory Monument 100 baht and takes 2-2.5 hours then bus number 29 from VM to Don Muang 18 baht takes 25 minutes.
August 22, 201510 yr He can either use Bell bus (with pickup) or the 389 bus from Jomtien to Suvarnabhumi. Then continue on the free shuttle bus to DMK (goes about every 10 to 15 min). Bell bus to Suv: 06:00/09:00/11:00/13:00/15:00/17:00/19:00 Depending on his exact flight time he can use the Bell bus with pickup from hotel/condo (250 Baht). Bus from Jomtien (Thaphraya) goes every hour (no pickup service), 13x Baht. Easy, I did both. For the shuttle bus he needs to show some proof of his flight from DMK. A booking confirmation on the smartphone is OK. Exactly where does the shuttle leave from at BKK? On the arrival level (2) at exit 3. Walk out and after the bridge you will likely see the bus and a desk where you have to show your booking. So if you arrive with Bell or 389 they will drop you off at level 4 (departure), so down two levels. Edited August 22, 201510 yr by KhunBENQ

Get an ordinary bus to Ekkamai (which are leaving all the time) 2. At Ekkamai get on the BTS skytrain to Asok 3. At Asok change from the BTS to the MRT and keep going to Hua Lamphong station 4. get one of the very many trains that go from Hua Lamphong to Don Muang Edited August 22, 201510 yr by Asiantravel
