Somkid assigned to supervise economic, foreign affairs

BANGKOK: -- Prime Minister Prayut Chan-o-cha Tuesday formally assigned Deputy Prime Minister Somkid Jatusripitak to be in charge of economic and foreign affairs, Government Spokesman Maj Gen Sansern Kaewkamnerd said.

Sansern said Prayut divided responsibilities among the six deputies during the weekly Cabinet meeting.

Somkid was assigned to supervise the Finance Ministry, the Foreign Ministry, the Agriculture Ministry, the Transport Ministry, the Commerce Ministry, the Science Ministry and the Industry Ministry.

Hmmmmm ....

It seems that Somkid has the lion's share of the important ministries. Just what do the other 5 deputies do? Or are they too incompetent for the big jobs because they are ex-military and have no idea how government works?

That seams to be about right.....

But ex-military.....I am thinking for my country...Minister without university are today transport minister, next year science minister and than foreign affairs minister.

It seems everywhere as soon as you are minister you are specialist for about just everything......So while it is bad it is not only this government.....

a lot of ministries for one man to supervise is he capable I don't think so one I would say yes 6 a definite no and a no to the rest of them .

He is the super deputy. That much on his plate. Strewth, he might as well bring back half the ptp cabinet to help....
