In the jungle, just kidding. I'm interested also, I have been collecting used ones, waiting for a place to get rid of them. I live in the Mukdahan, Roi-et, Kalasin corner.

Where I live near Phayao the recycle man who comes around our village buys them. I have sold 2 car batteries no problems. You may have one near where you live.

All these suggestions for car batteries but the op never mentioned cars at all, if someone says batteries in plural I would have assumed he was talking about AA's, AAA's, U2's or similar.

As for how to dispose of them I would think just put them in the rubbish bins for collection is a better bet than many Thai people's methods.

I take my dog for walks outside Korat in the country and the stuff that gets fly tipped is ridiculous. Garages dump all their old filters, oil even smashed windscreens, so long as its off their hands it doesn't matter where they put it. Then there are huge piles of builders rubbish, old bricks, plaster board, old toilets etc.etc.

The thing is you can't really blame them can you because there are no other options for tipping rubbish over here.
