Getting AirAsia Points with CIMB.......

Recommended Posts

It says you get 50 points for every 5000 THB of average balance per quarter. Right now they are only paying 1.5% interest, over 100K THB. Krungsri is paying 1.8%. I just came across this on their website. I entered my loyalty number. Has anyone else done this? Is it a specific, special account, or can I get the points with the normal "Speed Savings" account. If this is the case, it looks like if you had your entire 800K retirement show money in savings, you would get 8000 pts per quarter, or enough for a free roundtrip BKK-CNX every quarter. Nice bonus. It wasn't really a factor in January, when I got a 13 month FD at 3.2%, but now the FD rates are lower than regular savings (or very close) so this is something to consider. Any comments?
