Hurricane51
SAL - possibly Surface Air Letter = part of its journey by air and part by land So...how exactly does a letter get to the U.S. or Australia? Wouldn't that by definition be part of the way by air?

Small packet are packets or envelopes closed with a rope or staples, packet can be opened by customs. If you close a packet with tape it will be charged as a letter (more expensive). Parcels are all packets above 2 kg. Hope this is helpful. Michel

I'm probably going to send it Surface and see what happens.
pizzaman
Small packet are packets or envelopes closed with a rope or staples, packet can be opened by customs. If you close a packet with tape it will be charged as a letter (more expensive). All pacets can be opened by customs. Small packets can be opened by Thai General Post Officers to check that you didnt attach a letter. Small packets and Printed matter are cheaper, but if you want to attach a letter you must pay for Parcel or letter. Hmmm .... very funny rules. My question: advantage for ???? hmmmm
