Better than counting sheep, I watched all of 30 seconds before falling asleep...

Not to sound cynical but Pattaya City could be used in this video clip of what happens when you do the opposite except claiming something unique that no other city has (and that would be -putting it into a nice word- commercial escorts or commercial short term companions). And the most impressive point made was when it said you need those in govern to desire the best for the city.

If there is something I miss in Thailand then its attractive cities. cities with style and history, historic centre etc.

That vid is spot on the money, except it can't apply to Pattaya in any way whatsoever, unless the place was completely torn down and rebuilt. And who would bother to do that? It is not intended to be a city. It is merely a vehicle to pump money out of tourists' pockets, and it just happens to have grown a bit beyond that ideal into a small city that is a complete shambles - although some of us like the shambles
