Electrical Shop Owner commits suicide at his South Pattaya store

PATTAYA: -- The body of a 39 year old Store Owner was found in a 2nd floor bathroom by a man sent to collect rent from him on Tuesday afternoon.

Police and medics arrived at the NS Electrical Shop on the Tepprasit Road and made their way to a second floor apartment where the store owner was living. The body of Khun Niwat was found in the bathroom and it appears he had used a length of nylon rope to hang himself with.

The body was found by Khun Sunan aged 51, who works for the owner of the building. He told Police that he had gone to see the victim on 29th August to remind him that the rent was due on 1st September. He returned on 1st and found him dead in the bathroom.

Well, at least we can be reasonably sure that the landlord didn't do it, since it's hard to collect rent from a corpse.

he had gone to see the victim on 29th August to remind him that the rent was due on 1st September.

Strange practice if you ask me

not really….especially when dealing with a tenant who is habitually late with rent (which this guy may have been…who knows)

My definition of "Suicide": "A Long Term Solution for an often Short Term Problem . . . . . "
