ANTI-TRAFFICKING police are questioning seven people after raids at two suspected brothels in Phnom Penh this week.

Colonel Duong Sokly, deputy chief of the anti-human trafficking department at the Ministry of Interior, said the suspects, including two men and five women, were detained after officers searched the Golden Leaf guesthouse and the Meeting Appointment coffee shop in Chamkarmon district’s Boeung Tumpon commune on Thursday evening.

In total, 13 people were arrested in the operation. However, six women found working as prostitutes, including five Vietnamese women and one Cambodian, had been released after receiving “education” from officers.
