nalaknarak
Hi all, I came across ล่ะกัน in Alif's video (Five colloquial Thai phrases to say to a Thai friend who's leaving your place) but it seems like he didn't translate the word. What does it mean? Does it mean "together"? I tried looking in a dictionary but couldn't find anything. Please help. Thank you!
bearpolar
you sure he didnt mean "loh gun" (sounds like that)?
Tai777
ล่ะกัน is a sort of sentence ending when you're trying to decide/debate something with someone and you agree on a conclusion/compromise. kokesaat
The phrase in the video is "มีอะไรโรทมาละกัน".......which I take to mean, "Call me if you need anything". But I'm an amateur at these things.
kriswillems
แล้วกัน - words put at the end of a sentence to indicate this is the last sentence - last offer - compromise - conclusion or whatever else that makes you end the conversation. jspill
e.g. some posters want a thread deleted, others don't, mods say 'ok we'll move it to the pub ล่ะกัน' it's means 'so let's do it this way, as a compromise' or 'and that's the end of that'
jspill
or when used by a girl 'so let's do it this way which is pretty close to what i wanted'
