1BADDAT
Sukhumvit can't handle the water as it is. What a brilliant idea to put tunnels in to drain the water drive cars through.

Just1Voice
What amuses me is the idiots who SEE how deep the water is, and yet they still try to drive through it, then scratched their heads and wonder why they didn't make it.

They could have made a "smart tunnel " like the one built in Malaysia https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/SMART_Tunnel

craigt3365
I got home late last night. Was back behind Cherry's and it was super bad. Stuck there from 6pm till about midnight. Even then, it was rough getting home. Car's in the shop for a few days to get dried out! Unreal.

This is my first experience with a flood. Water went down quite a bit and we saw cars driving....so....OK! Time to go home. Unfortunately, the road dipped a bit and the car started to lose traction. At that point, you're committed. Luckily, I found a pile of dirt and got to high ground and waited another hour. Even then, barely made it to Sukhumvit. That was about 12:30 or so.
